The DJ, real name Norman Cook, let slip while talking to reporters at the launch for the O2 Wireless Festival, where he was unveiled as the Saturday night headliner.
When asked about Glastonbury he said: “Oh yeah, i’m doing it again this year in some guise. I think I’m actually official this year, last I wasn’t actually on the bill, but I still managed to play three times.
“This year I think I’m officially on the bill on Friday night, but I think I’ve played Glastonbury eleven years running now.”
We caught up with Norman at last year's event when he told us how he prefered performing early in the weekend so he could then let his hair down. He is a firm favourite of the festival and one of the first names on the list for the Eavis' when it comes to bookings.
He said yesterday: “They’re just like, ‘You’re part of the furniture. Even if you’re not on the bill, just come down and we’ll find a spot for you, whether it’s Africa Express or Lost Vagueness’.”
Fatboy Slim DJed
during last year's Africa Express show on the Park Stage and last performed in an official guise in 2005 when he headlined
the Other Stage.
