Prince to play UK this summer?
Prince has not played in the UK since
he last toured in 2002, but that could all be about to change.
The controversial singer, who was the
world's highest grossing artist in 2004, is rumoured to be in talks with major UK venues with a view to touring later this
year.
Prince is due to release a new album '3121' mid-spring, and having
toured America extensively during the last few years, he could be setting his sites on Europe to
kick off any tour.
News of any UK dates would come as a blow to Glastonbury boss, Michael
Eavis, who has made no secret of recent efforts to sign up the eccentric star as a headliner for
the Somerset festival.
Glastonbury Festival is having a year off in 2006 to rest the Worthy
Farm site. But what money on Prince to headline Glasto 2007?
