VF's Top Tip for Bestival
We have just learnt that Intervurt
have been promoted to playing an evening slot on the Sunday at Bestival - evidence that the event organisers have recognised
a good thing when they hear it!
Following the fantastic feedback that the band have already had from playing at Guilfest,
Tin Pan Alley, Beautiful Days and Get Loaded this summer (courtesy of our DISCOVERED! project, supported by the Trades Union,
Amicus) it isn't surprising that Intervurt
are starting to get people to sit up and take notice of their blistering electro-rock. We knew we had backed a winner when
the lunchtime crowds in front of the main stage at Beautiful days were galvanised in their hundreds to rush to the barriers
for the bands CD.
As well as Intervurt, Bestival is also providing a stage for Whitestar and The Seen - two London bands who at times came close to taking the lead in our download chart and who both deserve
your attention. They will both be playing the JD Set Lounge on Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes, and like Intervurt, they have
been getting great feedback from their shows throughout this summer. Whitestar were likened recently to New Order with greater depth to their songwriting, whilst The Seen will swirl you away
on a psychedlic rock-trip.
Bestival is one of the last chances to party at a festival in the UK, so get your act together
and get down to the Isle of Wight on the 9th, 10th and 11th of September to join us for the end to another fantastic festival
season!
