ILOSAARIROCK FESTIVAL 2008

The Ilosaarirock Festival returns to Joensuu, Eastern Finland with an army of over 100 artists and bands to take over the event's five stages and numerous clubs. The music swings between jazz and heavy metal to reggae and indie, so the next big Finnish thing could just be around the corner.

The acts that mainly perform are native to the country but organisers pull international artists into the loop as well. With the likes of The Damned, Blak Twang and Cradle Of Filth performing at recent events its easy to see why the festivals sells out annually.
