The BBC Electric Proms give new and established artists the freedom to create unique performances and convey them to a massive audience via traditional and new media.

The BBC Electric Proms give new and established artists the freedom to create unique performances and convey them to a massive audience via traditional and new media.

Boasting some unique musical shows, including The Who's new mini rock opera and the first outing for Damon Albarn's new supergroup 'The Good, The Bad and The Queen, the festival puts innovation at its heart.

There will also be an extensive film programme, a string of artists who are going to perform 'early years' sets, music workshops, intimate performances and a John Peel Night.

The Proms will be based at the newly refurbished Roundhouse in Camden, London, a venue with an impressive heritage where the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and the Clash have played. There will also be gigs staged at other venues around Camden, including the Barfly, Electric Ballroom and Koko.

The BBC Electric Proms is a truly multi-media festival. As well as full coverage online during and after the festival, music fans will be able to get coverage with interactive content on mobile and digital TV, with hands-on workshops throughout the event.less
